I was born with the gift of creativity, finding a way to share that with others in a way that can bring such benefit is a real blessing.
Many people have set the intention to meditate, but most lose sight of that intention in their busy day-to-day world. Without a doubt having a dedicated meditation space in their home is something that really helps most people keep the commitment.
But how to create that space is another question. On this blog I hope to not only share information about that in general, but to also offer creative ways to make it unique, really safe, comfortable and functional.
Beauty is very personal, and so is a meditation space. It should be a reflection of your own heart and mind, so when you use it, you feel comfortable, safe, and unobstructed. It should enhance your practice not distract you in any way.
How can you be creative when making your meditation space? Well, read on and see. Color, images, statues, furniture, cushions, curtains, all bring a unique statement that can really change how your space feels and functions.
The photo here is of a simple altar created from a discarded wooden box, four unfinished wooden legs bought from a local home improvement store, attached with screws and then all was painted with turquoise and red paint and enhanced with a gold marker from Michael’s craft store. The picture was from a discarded calendar, and framed in a second hand frame and mat. The statue was a found object left by someone. Put together it makes a beautiful and simple meditation space.
Thank you for joining me here on Creative Meditation Spaces. I hope you enjoy reading and learning along with me.
